Therapy - face to face and online
I work with individuals and couples, offering a blend of therapeutic approaches tailored to your needs. My primary focus is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based therapy that helps you recognise, understand, and shift patterns of thinking, emotions and behaviour that may be holding you back. I also incorporate person-centred counselling, providing a supportive and collaborative space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.
For couples, I help partners identify and improve communication patterns, navigate challenges and repetitive viscous cycles, and strengthen their relationship. I provide a safe and confidential space to work through issues and achieve shared goals and aspirations.
Sessions are available in Cardiff, Bridport, and online

Cognitive behavioural therapy
CBT is a structured, goal-oriented therapy that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It focuses on identifying unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour that may be maintaining stress, anxiety or low mood, and developing practical strategies to change them.
In therapy, we work together to explore how you perceive events and the impact this has on your emotions and actions. Using collaborative exercises and practical tools, such as thought records, behavioural experiments and coping strategies, you’ll learn ways to challenge unhelpful thoughts, respond differently to difficult situations, and improve overall wellbeing.
CBT is flexible and personalised, with the initial sessions focused on understanding your experiences, setting goals, and prioritising the areas you want to work on. Over time, you’ll develop skills to manage challenges independently and apply what you learn in everyday life.
Person centred counselling
Person-centred counselling is based on the belief that you are the expert in your own life, with an innate capacity for growth and healing. It offers a safe, supportive space where you can explore your feelings, thoughts and experiences without judgment.
In our sessions, I provide unconditional acceptance, empathy and genuine understanding, so you feel acknowledged, heard and valued. Rather than offering advice or interpreting your experiences, I support you in deepening self-awareness, building confidence in your own judgment, and uncovering strengths you may not have realised you had.
As you reconnect with your authentic self, you can develop skills to better understand your own processes, manage present challenges, and approach future difficulties with greater independence and resilience.
Person-centred counselling can be especially helpful if you want to understand yourself more fully, work through life transitions, or simply have a safe space to reflect at your own pace.

Relationship & couples counselling
Relationship counselling can help strengthen the important connections in your life, whether with a romantic partner, family member or other significant relationships. It provides a safe space to explore viscious cycles, work through difficulties, and build more fulfilling ways of relating. For couples specifically, therapy brings both partners together to address challenges collaboratively. We focus on improving communication, rebuilding trust and intimacy, and developing skills for managing conflict constructively. Using therapeutic approaches, we work to reduce tension while nurturing understanding and connection. The process involves recognizing unhelpful dynamics, practicing new ways of relating, and setting shared goals. Whether addressing immediate concerns or strengthening your relationship's foundation, counselling offers tools for creating lasting positive change.

CBT tools and techniques
CBT involves practical tools and exercises designed to help you understand and change patterns that may be causing difficulty. This might include educational materials about thoughts and emotions, structured exercises, behavioral experiments, or tasks to practice between sessions. These tools help uncover the beliefs and thinking patterns that influence your behavior, giving you insight into how to respond to situations in more helpful ways.
